Blue Horizons Aides team collaborating

Blue Horizons Aides is dedicated to supporting Special Education (SPED) programs and addressing the challenges faced by school districts in sourcing and managing instructional aides. We place DOJ Live Scan–screened Instructional, Behavioral Support, and Sensory Support Aides with schools and families across Southern California — built to run like a compliance department, not a temp agency.

Who We Are

Blue Horizons Aides is a division of Quest National Security. That parentage shapes how we operate: security-grade screening standards applied to the people who work directly with students, paired with the accountability structures a district needs to trust a staffing vendor with an IEP-critical role.

What We Do

We source, screen, train, and manage instructional aides so that a staffing gap never becomes a compliance gap. Every aide we place falls into one of three roles — Instructional Aide, Behavioral Support Aide, or Sensory Support Aide — matched to the specific support a classroom or IEP calls for. Districts get a vendor who handles the sourcing and management burden directly; families get an aide who shows up prepared and stays supervised for as long as the placement lasts.

The Blue Horizons Standard

Every aide moves through the same four-part standard before and during placement:

  • Screen — DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting and reference checks before an aide ever enters a classroom.
  • Train — structured onboarding plus ongoing retraining tied to the role.
  • Supervise — a multi-layer supervision model anchored by a named single point of contact, backed by our 24-hour service center.
  • Verify — real-time attendance, timesheet, and journal tracking that feeds our Quarterly Performance Review Program, so districts get auditable data instead of a promise.

Who We Serve

Schools & Districts

Public schools, private schools, and district SPED programs across Southern California that need a reliable source for instructional, behavioral support, and sensory support aides — and a single point of contact instead of an anonymous vendor relationship.

Families

Parents and guardians of a child with an IEP or 504 plan who need an aide who is qualified, supervised, and matched to their child’s specific instructional, behavioral, or sensory needs — not a rotating cast of strangers.

Our Commitment

We built Blue Horizons Aides around a simple idea: the people supporting a child’s IEP goals should be as thoroughly vetted and closely managed as any other safety-sensitive role. That means every placement carries the same screening, training, supervision, and verification — whether it’s a single family requesting one aide or a district covering a program-wide staffing gap. Empowering students, one aide at a time, starts with getting the people around them right.
